Audubon Miami Valley’s 2025 Christmas Bird Count was conducted on Saturday, December 20. See the results of this exciting event below!

2025 Bird Count Summary

  • 39 participants

  • 79 species were counted

  • 6,227 individual birds were counted in total

  • Notable species seen this year include:

    • 2 Snow Geese

    • 3 Cackling Geese

    • 4 American Black Ducks

    • 2 American Wigeon

    • 2 Ring-Necked Ducks

    • 2 Long-Tailed Ducks

    • 1 Rough-Legged Hawks

    • 12 Bald Eagles

    • 10 Eurasian Collared Dove

    • 30 Rusty Blackbirds

    • 20 Red Crossbill

    • 1 Pine Siskin

    • 1 Snow Bunting
